First Flight Federal Credit Union will hold its Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at First Flight’s Corporate Headquarters in Cary, NC and/or via video conference based on COVID restrictions. The meeting will begin promptly at 2pm. Elections will be conducted at the meeting to fill two available positions for Board of Directors. All positions will be for 3-year terms. Elections will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations taken from the floor since there is only one nominee for each position to be filled. Nominations for vacancies may be made by petition signed by 1% (210) of members. A brief statement of qualifications and biographical data must accompany the petition along with a signed certificate from the nominee accepting nomination and the maximum appointment term. Frank Amato*
Originally from NJ, graduated from ECU in Greenville ( where he met my wife ). Owner of Amato Insurance Group, Inc. ( been with Nationwide Insurance since 1998 ) in Havelock, NC and recently purchased Down East Insurance Services in New Bern, NC. Active member of the Havelock-Cherry Point Rotary Club. Current Board Member and Active member of the Havelock Chamber of Commerce and the Military Affairs Committee. Past President of Rotary and Past President of the Havelock Chamber Board of Directors. Mr. Amato is married Holli Bowling Amato in 2001, together they have one son Alex ( 16 ), and one dog “ Roxie“ and reside in Newport.
Tom Smith*
Tom Smith is a client experience analyst and strategist at Client Savvy and an experienced marketing professional who provides multichannel, integrated marketing planning, strategic consulting, and implementation of revenue-generation programs for companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 businesses.
He has worked with more than 120 companies in 18 different industries – including Wachovia Bank, First Citizens, and BB&T. In addition to helping clients drive revenue, referrals, and repeat business, Tom also interviews IT executives and writes about the current and future state of technology.
Tom received his BA from Duke University and MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He, and his wife of 40 years, live in Raleigh, North Carolina. Tom loves to exercise, follow college sports, and eat at Chipotle.
